Be advised that the reproduction bed sides do not have the interruption for shock absorber clearance as is found on the original '34 -'36 bed. If you have original bed sides, the section can be cut from them and welded into the new panels.

The bottom of the bed side above the axle has an area which angles inboard. The angle bed strip jumps in and back out to follow this stamped area of the panel. I wish I could think of a better way to describe it.

Mine has what looks like in todays terms "inter fenders" only they are about one inch high...right near the bottom where inside of bed comes to wood floor.

Here is the item # for one on eBay. Unfortunately you can't see what the inside looks like.

The reason I asked was that the bed on my GMC doesn't have that at all. Is that indented area for the shock arm travel?

I like the sellers description of the brand, "Chevrolet Division of GMC". This brings up an interesting point, I have seen rear shocks, both Chevrolet and GMC mounted on the inside of the frame rail , but that bed side clearly shows an indented area where the shock arm travels. When I added the shocks to my truck, I got several pictures from members on here showing them mounted on the inside of the frame. Now I am going to spend some time under my truck looking at this over, because having them mounted on the outside would be much easier to service.
