Good Day Everyone
One more question about free wheeling...
The cable goes thru the firewall, makes a U bend toward the transmission, clamps on the transmission and finally connects to the free wheeling lever.

My question is: Is there a clamp somewhere between the firewall and transmission clamp?
It just seems like a long route for the cable to just dangle there. Besides there are wires, brake cables and pedals to get tangled with or rub on. The cable touches my new wiring as it passes down the side of the cowl. I could just make something up myself but I really want to keep this car as stock as possible. Even right down to each clamp.

Bye for now
Mike

Only the clamp for the outside housing on the transmission.

Yes!!

The freewheeling cable goes thru the firewall and then it runs down against the inside "leg" of the cowl. Midway down the "leg" of the cowl there is a clamp that attaches the freewheeling cable to the cowl. From there the cable loops down and it comes up to the side of the transmission. The cable is then attached to the clamp on the side of the transmission. From there it continues up and connects to the freewheeling lever on the transmission.

Without the clamp on the inside leg of the cowl to hold the cable in place, the cable will be in the way of other wires and etc.
