No, I just go up one day to visit. Thursday is my day of choice if the weather is OK.

Perhaps we could meet. I usually spend some time at the spots rented by a couple of the Minnisota members including Mary James. It is way on the north end of the meet area. Perhaps we could phone each other and I could direct you to the area on that day. I am usually at that location around mid-morning.

I want to go, but my health will not allow to go that far. My morning melds make me a tad on the drowsy side. My car is available, not my '41, but my regular service car is. Gus... Just one more thing....1941 Master Deluxe, 216, all original, except late 1970's paint, original color. I drained the aviator, got about 12 quarts. Nothing out of peacock on engine block. Hmmm?? Gustave again...

Remove the entire pet cock to make the opening larger. Then probe around with a coat hanger wire to loosen the rust. That is the low point in the block and the carp settles in the pocket.

How far should the wire go into the engine block pet cock opening? My wire went in about four inches and as I worked it around, black sooty water came dribbling out. Can the cold engine be run while the garden hose is placed in the top radiator opening? I remember we talked about NEVER place a cold garden hose into a hot block.

The cold water can be run through the cold block with the engine running. While the wire will only go straight in a short distaance it will go farther to hte sides.
Cold water should never be added to a hot engine or the head could crack.
