What year die they start installing the 235 engine?

Passenger cars was 1950,1941 in trucks

1941-1946 in large trucks...as an option. Looked just like a 216 engine with high side cover, etc.

1950 Power Glide cars. Had low side cover. Also in heavy duty trucks. Same as car engine but had solid lifters.

1953 passenger cars with standard transmission and heavy duty trucks. Light duty trucks and sedan delivery had the last 216 engine.
