I'm in the process of rebuilding my 31 Chevy 194 and we've discovered a cracked head, in a non-repairable location. Does anyone have a head they would be willing to part with? I'm rebuilding the entire engine so as long as the head isn't cracked, or damaged I'll rebuild it as well.
Thanks!

What determined it is non-repairable?

I not really sure as I haven't seen the head - I'm relying on the machine shop at this point. I'll see the head a few days from now and make that decision myself but in the meantime I've started to look for a replacement.

Call off the dogs! I found a replacement head and have made arrangements for picking it up next weekend. Thanks to anyone who searched on my behalf. By the way, the engine shop said the existing head shows cracks but could probably still be used! I'll let you know if it is usable, should anyone else be looking for same.
Thanks!

Hi Rob, Concerning that head for a '31 Chevy, I wonder if the shop you mentioned has others? I am in need of a good head for a '31.
