OP Peterw Shade Tree Mechanic Joined: Apr 2014 Posts: 193 Lancs, UK	Hi My 1930 SR is just finishing being rebuilt and it has cost so much that I am worried about possible theft ( there have been some instances of classic car theft in UK). I have a battery disable switch, but I am wondering about a claw around the road wheel. The traditional steering wheel lock I don't think would work as the wheel is wood ( as are the spokes of the road wheels.) Be glad of any comments. Thanks PeterW

DanR Oil Can Mechanic Joined: Sep 2005 Posts: 558 Cleves, Ohio	For a simple short term protection solution, when not in use, remove the rotor from the distributor, then replace the distributor cap. This will not, of course, stop someone from loading the car on a lorry or towing it off, but will definitely slow down someone trying to hot wire the ignition and driving it away.
