just ordered a new grille, went for the plain, to be painted, my original was chrome, how did they come from the factory?
was there a choice talk ?

All were chromed from the factory except during WWII.....those were painted gray.

To clarify, all 37's were chrome. The backside and the sides of the bars were painted black. 38 was done the same.
