How many guys out there would like a front floor mat color coded for your convertible like original. If I understand correctly the carpet was Red or Blue to match the color of the car. This would apply to the 41 to 48 front mats. Also when they were color matched, the rubber was still tan correct?

Also does anyone have a color sample of the original color mats? That way I can try to match the carpet the best I can?

If you don't know, I'm the guy who makes the front mats which many of the suppliers sell. I'm in the process of finding carpet to continue making these mats, and now have a source and good range of colors to pick from. I'm just testing the waters here to see what kind of takers there might be.

Thank you for your feedback.

I could use a front floor mat for a 1940 Chevrolet.

The 1941-1948 front floor mats were brown and not all of those years were the same exact shade of brown. Not a big problem. The inserts came in red (maroon), green, blue, and tsn , also a gray in 1942. The carpet insert matched the rear floor carpet.

Bruce - I'd love to have a color matched front floor mat!!!!!! Make the ones with the Maroon inserts first!!! Then maybe you can start thinking about those '40 mats... :-)
