[Linked Image from i79.photobucket.com]....Finally decided on the Lesters. They claim they are the widest white wall in this size at 3 7/8 in. At about $40 less than the Firestones , I opted for these and so far am very pleased with the looks and ride. My 41 year old Firestones only have 4K miles on them and should still have some value to someone.Guess I`ll try Craigs list..

They look nice but are considerably wider than what was offered in 1940.

Your both right on with the wideness.....good I`m not into the judging aspect....most would`nt realize the difference , but anyone in the know would think them strange probably ...sold the old firestones to a fellow from Knoxvoille today ....drove 2 hours to get them....$185/set
