Hello all;

I need to straighten the steering wheel on my 1938 Chevy MD. First step is taking the horn button off. Does it just pull straight out? As I recall it does not twist on.

Thank you!

You have a multi-level rubber grommet that holds the horn button on one side and the S wire on the other. About center of the grommet is a ridge that holds the whole assembly in the steering wheel. Hook an appropriate tool under the cap and pry up. When it's time to put it back in you'll do some accidental honking when you re-seat the grommet in the steering wheel. <CLICK>
