I am trying to locate plans for a stake truck box. I don't have a clue what size the box should be and how the iron rails fit on or in the box. I have the sides and the hardware for the gate and the front, but I don't know how size the box from top to bottom. the truck is a 1934 1 1/2 ton master and the truck frame is for the short box

My 1936 Chevy Truck Gold book has some info on the beds available from Chevy at that time. I believe your '34 bed would have been the same or very similar.
The length would be 9 feet, width is About 87 inches.
I'm not sure what you mean about the top to bottom dimension.

Does your 1936 gold book have a print or picture of a truck bed I have the hardware for the sides and back but I don't know how to build the bed and insert the iron rails or slides? I am told the Chevy framed out the truck beds to a different company to build and then added them to the chassis

Quint,
It is doubtful that you have hardware from a factory installed Chevy flat bed. I would think it would be pretty self explanatory as to the arrangement and assembly if you had those parts.
That being said, if you do have those parts, you have some pretty rare stuff.
The side rail is a double ribbed stamping that wraps up onto the deck and has the stake pockets cut into it. The cross beams are stamped metal also.
If you can post or email me some pics, I can tell you if your parts are genuine GM. I might be able to help with some assembly suggestions if the bed is from another supplier.
