We are restoring a 1964 C30 truck with a 292 engine. I was with my dad when he purchased the truck new in 1964 and know it was a green color. Also have a 1965 truck with only 7500 miles with the 292 and it is the green color also. Having trouble finding any supplier for the green color. Does anyone know where we can get the original color paint?

Look at this thread. Found it by typing "1964 chevy 292 engine color" at Google. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showthread.php?t=536898

My suggestion would be to take a sample in to an automotive paint store and have the color eye matched. Get just a plain old fashioned enamel, that is what Chevrolet used.

Thanks all. I had seen the Alpine Green or Detroit Diesel Green listed but didn't know they were the same color. Should be easy. I had typed in several combinations of keywords into Google, but not those exact ones.
Chevgene, is that a Dusk Pearl Nomad in you picture? If so, mine is just like it. Not many that color.

Yes, it is that rare? Dusk Pearl. I had new '57 hardtop in that color also. Dusk Pearl was popular when new but not for Nomads.
