******edited
Actually there are 4 carbs for cars counting the Corvette, but that is another story!

Powerglide
Rochester B(actually a BC) 7005922 (YOUR CAR)
********double edited (Ray,some dealers don't list a BC in 54 just the one for a Standard with a governor, but that is the correct part number),*****

1954 6 235 (standard shift)
Rochester B 7005921

1954 6 235
S/T with governor Rochester BC 7005982( (standard shift with a governor)

(I am sure someone here will correct me on this)

The B is manual choke and the BC is auto choke,
there are three for 54 trucks, one for 235s and one for the 261 and an up draft for the COE truck. I can't see where with your engine size, and the transmission and steering (power or standard) there would be a reason for those differences.

Hi misty sue,

They list three because there are three that will FIT and WORK. However the CORRECT carb for you combination is Part #7005922 and is stamped 5922 on the manifold face.

It is in fact a Rochester BC.

M.S., yeah, It is a Rochester B part number 7000922 or BC , that depends on the dealer whether it is listed as a B or a BC, some rebuilt carbs will not have the same number stamped on the face of the throttle body, and you may find some rebuilt BC carbs with different main jet sizes.

recently had several that were run tested at a reasonable price....

FYI....To be sure its the correct carb. the automatic choke cover will be metal (not black Baklite) and the heat tube will conect to it not to the choke housing.Any 1954-56 Power Glide carb. will be correct.

Also would reccomend against a "parts house" rebuilt carb. Most will be incorrect plus a mixture of parts. If your present one is the original and correct carb. for the car a good rebuild job would be the best way to go.
