I'm in the process of removing the headlight and removing the inside socket. I was able th remove it from the back but I'm not sure which way the inside harness comes out . Does it go from the outside in or inside out? It really doesn't want to go either way. This is on my 30SC

If I am not mistaken the wires come out from inside the reflector. There is a brass fitting attached to the headlight body That brass fitting that has a notch in it to catch the raised bead on the harness. It twists out or should I had to bend mine back to get the wiring harness out. I will just bend it back when I replace. Hope this helps.

Wondering if you can answer a question for me. Does the "swivel cup" that is part of the headlight assembly go on top of the headlight bar or cup side up on the bottom of the headlight bar? I have puzzled about why the stanchions seem to be to short until a few minutes ago the "light came on" and now figured out the cup must go underneath the bar rather on top. I did not take good pictures of the headlight prior to disassembly. Thanks for your input.

Please don't answer the above question. It is ok for you to laugh at the naivety of a novice but don't respond. I was so anxious to try my newly revealed solution I went home and turned the swivel cups to fit under the headlight bar and the problem is solved.

Erik, no worries. Been there, done that. The rush of the 'light' going on is wonderful.

Enjoy the process of finding solutions!
