I would like to replace the wire in the electrolock cable. Does anybody know how to take the cable assembly apart at both ends to get to the wire ? Cable is off of car, key assembly already removed. All responses appreciated.

Yes, there are a couple of us that know how to take electrolocks apart. We have been doing it for many years. Basically you need to squeeze the crimped retaining ring next to the Bakelite terminal strips. Then rotate the ring until the crimps are between the "legs". Then tap the ring off. You will need to bend at least one of the "legs" to remove the Bakelite strips. Once that is done you can remove the wire from the opposite end. Can be a #%&@#$ to get back together without breaking something.

Or you can send it to Skipper or Chipper to do it for you.
