The collar directly beneath the steering wheel that houses the turn signal is loose, it will slide up and down and turn from side to side. how do I tighten same? 1954 bel air---thanks

Hi misty sue Take a look from the bottom of the collar and you will see a screw that when tightened will secure the unit to the steering column. In many cases it has been overtightened and has lost all the adjustment, if so, removal of the steering wheel and then the collar is in order.
