Arend Backyard Mechanic Joined: Nov 2008 Posts: 322 Edmonton, Alberta	I have used the old fashioned blued shingle nails that are sold by the pound. They may be hard to find. They were recommended to us as being very close to the original when I took a restoration course at our auto museum a few years ago. They hold really well but are really hard to remove if you need to. Ordinary 1" steel nails work also and are easy to remove.
