I bought three engines at a swap meet that two look like chevy 216 and one 235 and are trying to find out what year they are, there is some numbers stamped on the milled surface right behind the distributor I2I8598 (216 c.i.), I896845 (216 c.i.), and F1026J (235 c.i.) can any one help.
1950 chevy truck, 1969 malibu, 1955 Buick.

Thanks for the INFO MrMack I found out the year by the casting numbers and the web sight you provided.
