As my recent post have revealed my 1930 SR is undergoing major surgery. I urgently need to get steel running boards and the spash apron that goes under. The FS has only the aprons in stock and as freight will be a big problem I need to get both items together. So my question is " Is there another reputable supplier of such sheet metal parts?" I saw Halstons Sheet Metal in Texas, but the customer reviews have frightened me off. I really need something quick - the car is booked on a tour in just a few weeks.

Thanks for the suggestions, much appreciated. Bow tie Reproductions had only an answerphone. I will try Bruce Bugay, just to be safe, but I hope I now have it sorted. The FS can supply the splash aprons, which go under the running boards. They should be delivered next week thanks to Fed Ex, and as the running boards are relatively simple I am hoping I have found a local company who can make them. I will know on Monday.

Dale Wahl of Bowtie Reproductions is the best on sheet metal and is excellent to deal with. He may be selling at Spring Carlisle this week. Since FS doesn't have both items you may try Gary Wallace: Gary has good items also but is more expensive: http://www.20schevyparts.com/

Thanks again for the suggestions. I have dealt with Gary in the past and I did try him. He is currently away. I will check out Stanley Parts, but as I said above I hope that I have now got it covered. Thanks again
