Did the horn cap come in different colors ? i have seen two tan caps with red writing and bowtie and a blue horn cap.

#3 looks like the factory picture I have.
Also the correct ivory rim.

The cap i always see is like this one brown. there has been two wheels on ebay that sold with the tan/ red cap , and the blue cap sold a few years ago. the 3rd picture in the first post the cap is blue.

The tan (gold) would match more with other interior trim colors in 1949interiors and the gold looks like the gold used in the Special series horn button.
Any steering wheel I have ever seen is ivory like the shift knob.

The wheel in the third picture appears to me to be the optional one available in '49 for "dressing up" both Special and Deluxe models. The pictured one is in a '49 convertible.
