I'm posting this in case you have an interest in finding out more before you buy a new computer. ------------------------------- Here's a recent report on which Computer Manufacturers added BLOATWARE to their computers. YOu might want to take this into consideration. BLOATWARE is additional programs added to a virgin computer which are unnecessary for the machine to perform properly. These programs include advertisements, games, utilities and other programs which attempt to get you to play, buy or send information to a third part. While some accessory programs are useful, too often, they fall into the bloatware category. You can follow the lins and read about Levano problem recently when they violated the user's trust with thier installed programs. Also, if you've ever tried to remove the ASK search bar in your computer -- Good Luck. How would one know if you have BLOATWARE ?
Will it say so on the box?
Will the sales rep tell you ?
Or will you buy the PC, take it home, only to find BLOATWARE is on the machine ?

The ASk search bar showed up on my computer, I have been unable to dispose of it. The pop-up advertisements are disgusting, they all have to load before I can continue with other programs. There is an area that says you can cancel the pop-up advertisements,I have tried to do this several times but the advertisements do not go away.

I find that using Firefox for my browser does a better job at not allowing pop-up windows than Internet Exploder. For more info, see http://www.mozilla.org/ You can import all your favorite web address into Firefox too. Cheers, Dean

My IPad has several of these I find useless to my needs. A recent software update even added a App for their new watch toy. Why oh why would I want or need that? Seems to me if they want to add crap like that they ought to give the consumer an opt out button.

hey new member here and getting accustom to the site. hey just advice on computer stuff. I have a tec who is very computer educated. We have a cell phone tablet computer repair shop located in Kingman AZ. It would be worth a call to chat with him for some free advise on removing all those idiot pop ups. Kingman AZ has numerous every day drives rolling around daily.
