I'm rewiring the harnesses between the connecting plug (in the headlight bucket) and the bulb socket (in the reflector) of the headlights of the '29 Phaeton I'm restoring.
While the various sockets, springs, and insulators are readily available, and I have quite a few spares in my hoard, there is one critical piece I haven't been able to find: In the end of each wire is a very tiny copper "tack" which is pushed into place in the end of the wire, then soldered in. The head of the "tack" is highly domed and forms the contact for the bulb and the wiring harness plug when they are attached. It's about a quarter of an inch long and has a very thin tapered shank like a carpet tack.
I've made some substitutes by filing down brass escutcheon pins, but I'd like to find a box of these for future projects. Anybody know where to get them?

Rhode Island wire calls them a "small brass button" and they are located on their "supplies" page, then go to "washers, buttons, and springs". Their pricing category is A6. They are about 3/4's of the way down the page. http://www.riwire.com/
