OP Big_dan_1950 Grease Monkey Joined: Mar 2014 Posts: 30 So , Cal	My dad is restoring a 48 Chevy and the firewall data plate was misplaced , if it cant be found we are going to order one from chevso of the 40s . Is the body number the same as the vin number ?

Google him if necessary. He can duplicate any data plate and they are PERFECT. He also has the correct attaching rivets. He's done a couple for me, 52Conv

I found it while looking in the vintage car and truck parts category and typing 1948 Chevrolet into the search window. I suppose if you type in 1948 Chevrolet data plate you might be able to find it.
