OP Floats Backyard Mechanic Joined: Oct 2014 Posts: 275 Cape Town, South Africa	Hi Guys, I think my 29 engine is touching the firewall because of failed rear motor mounts. It seams as if the rear mounts are rather thin canvas strips. Is that correct? Do the Chevies also suffer from frame sag as the Model As? ArtM Shade Tree Mechanic Joined: Jun 2007 Posts: 93 Tucson AZ	Chris, I ran into a similar problem that was caused by the front body mounts breaking loose from the body. It caused the firewall to tip forward. It gave the truck a swayback look. Chevrolet offered braces for the firewall to help prevent this problem. After fixing the mounting pads and adding extra support, the swayback look was gone and everything lined up properly. ArtM
