I am looking for oil seals for the axle shafts on my 36 standard two door. I called Olcar Bearing Co in NC and the guy said he would check and call me back, that was a month ago. I have heard nothing.

I texted my request to South Shore Bearings in MA. That was also a month ago. No reply.

Any recommendations?

The rear axle seales for a 1936 Standard also fit all Chevrolet passenger cars from 1937-1954.
Go to NAPA and order a pair of axle seals for a 1954 Chevrolet make make things more simple.
The new seal will look different from the originals(improved design) but the dementions will be OK.

Black Bird,

It's a common, inexpensive SKF seal # 15557. Even in the rural area where I live the local bearing and hydraulic parts outlet had a box of them. They must fit farm implements too.
