Hey all, wondering if anyone has any info on a heater. My car had one at one time. It was removed. I am not real sure what it should have, look like, OEM? Does anyone have one for sale? Any info would be great. Thanks.

My first question would be did Canadian chevrolets get the same Harrison heater as the US cars. If they did I can send you pictures.

Well, there is one on e-bay for sale from somewhere in Canada. It needs total restoring, new core and new fan motor and control knob. Not sure if he got it from the US. I would like to see your pics to compare. Do you have one in working condition?

I have both versions which were offered in the US....not sure about Canada as Chev Nut points out.

So what your looking at on eBay is not correct if it has a control knob....they don't have any controls on them.

Also why do you say you car has a heater at one time? All 34's came from the factory with the holes for the heater and radio stamped in the firewall. So all you needed to do was to cut the firewall mat and install. Again I have a template of all the holes for a 34 firewall.

Let me know if you need help.

Hi Jonjet,

Are you talking about how the doors are hinged? If so you are correct, I personally question they early style and if they were used long. I have see two of them. Again there is no control knob on the early style which the door both hinge from the center.

Yes,the doors are hinged different but they also look a little different. One is a Super Heater the other a Deluxe Heater with a Chevrolet Hot Water Heater tag on it. Also there are two different Outdraft Heaters.

Basically there are 2 round heaters and 2 pie wedge heaters. Not sure about what the tags read. And your correct about them look a little different, but to the untrained eye they look the same overall. I know on the early round heater the water tubes are in a different location then the holes stamped in the firewall from the factory. This is why I would pick the later heater over the early one. Also I question how long they made the early round heater.

Would love to know if you have more information. Also all the documentation that I have shows the early style round heater.

I think you will find that the "early" heater was for a 1934 and the late a for a 1935.
If you look in an older parts book the heater core for the square and round 1934 heaters is all that is shown. Then another core for 1935.
I had a 1935 heater in my 1934.
