Trying to refurbish a 37 grille. Got the stone dings out of the verticals and the leading edge of the verticals is chromed and polished up real good. When looking at the grille from the side, you can see the chrome leading edge of the verticals and then what appears to be a buff finish from the edge of the plating to the trailing edge of each vertical. Don't know if this buff finish has been painted or not. The back side of the grille is black but don't know if the buff area was painted and later removed. Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

Hey Ryan, on mine it's painted a black satin on that area of the vertical. In fact I had to do a little touch up on it last summer. A narrow brush and a small can of black satin enamel is what I used.
