I know there must be a folding rack that can be installed along with the rear mounted spare tire on my 29 sedan. Looking for ideas as I need to install one back there. (Going to need to carry extra gasoline)

If you know anyone in the Model A Restorers Club or the Model A Ford Club I'm sure they could help you. They add trunk racks on the back of their Model A's behind the spare tire. I have seen in their magazines how to make one.

Snyders Model A catalog show the rear rack with extentions to clear the spare. You can call them for advise to fit to your chevy. http://www.snydersantiqueauto.com/search.php?q=trunk+rack&x=100&y=8Scroll to luggage rack and click on it for pictures.

I posted two pictures of my 31 Phaeton's luggage rack with rear mounted spare tire under projects. The brackets are made of heavy forgings. This type luggage rack was quite common in Norway, where my car was originally sold. #18184

Thank you for posting the pics of your rack. It looks like a strong and simple way of putting one on. Dale Thanks to all who have responded to this thread.
