The Differential of my 1950 Chevy 235 w/powerglide is leaking a little, How hard is it to replace the Differential Gasket?

Also, what type of fluid do I put in the Differential?

Thanks

Depends where it is leaking.
If rear cover, simple, remove cover and install new gasket.
I from between front carrier and banjo housing a much bigger job. At this location I would tighten the bolts and live with a little seepage.
Fill with #90 or 85w-140 gear oil.
If you remove the filler plug on the rear cover and find it is overfull the teansmission fluid is leaking past the seal inside the torque tube. A bigger problem.
