I am looking to replace the head on my '34 Chevy 207 straight six, as mine is cracked. Do the numbers on the head have to match in order to work with this engine? Will a head from a slightly larger c.i. engine work? I am restoring the car. It was a running and driving car with all its original parts when I started so I want to keep it that way. Does anyone know of a good head for sale, one that can be rebuilt or ready to go? Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thank you

The 1934 Master head fits the 1934 Master and some early 1935 Standards only. The head mst have the same casting number as your present head. 837230.

Where in Ontario are you Trunkback? You could try Glenn Rarick, he's just across the creek from Gananoque. He has barns full of stuff. I have one which I was keeping as a spare.

I also need an oil pan including the oiling tubes that bolt to the engine and go down into the oil pan. If anyone has one for sale, let me know. I would like to get a NOS head if possible, otherwise a good rebuildable one. Thanks again for all the great info.

The trunk is part of the body, not added on like a wooden box trunk. I have not found any other hinges that have the short sharp bend contour on the top part. Willing to try from a different car if I cannot find the OEM parts.

The hinges fit only the 1934 Chevrolet Master Sports Sedan and 1934 and 1935 Buick Special 4 door trunk sedans.
At one tme I believe the a Buick vendor made them.

Does anyone have an oil pan? I also need the oil distributor pipes that attach to the block inside the crankcase. Are these '34 only or will these parts from a '35 work?

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think I read some where that
a '35 oiling system could be retro-fitted to a '34 by using
everything, including the oil pan! The oil distribution system
is improved for '35 with the oil pipes in the pan that are
aimed to deliver oil to the dippers. To do the upgrade, you would probably have to find a complete '35 207 C I motor and
change everything over! Phil Lipton

Chevrolet sold a conversion for 1934 Master engines. It consisted of a 1935 oil pump, oil pan, dippers, oil pipes (for pump) oil disteributor, oil lines and fittings.
In my 40 + years I never found or heard of one being in existence.
Years ago I was given a 1935 engine. Was going to convert my '34 but looked like the conversion parts not not all like the 1935 parts. '34 did OK stock.

What year is the 207 Master engine?
Subject heading says 1934.
1934 Master engine requires a 1934 Master head only....also used on some early 1935 Standards.

I think I have a '34 oil pan.
Chat member, ABbuff has performed the '35 oiling system to'34 pan surgery. Maybe he will weigh in.

If his 1934 engine has been converted to the new 1935 oiling systemm the original 1934 lines and fittings would have been removed and a 1934 pan will no longer work.
