What's the chance there's a restorable rear frame cover (tank cover) for a '35 Chevy Coupe to be found out there?

Thanks!

Are you wanting for a Standard or a Master? Very slim for a Standard. I had a nice one last year and sold it in Calif. for 450.00. Masters may not be much better.

A 1935 Master does not have a tank cover. The body is in one piece.

a 1934--1935 Chevrolet "gas tank cover panel" sold on ebay for $319.00 dec 15/2014. It needed a lot of metal work but was not rusted just banged around.

I had mine for my roadster , repaired by a local restoration shop ( Fawcett motor car co. ) with a lot of vintage machinery last month. Cost me around $1500 for the QUALITY repairs.

Note that cover only came on STANDARDS ....34-35 roadsters, 1934-1935 phaetons, 3 window coupes, early model series 200 1934 Chevrolet 2 door sedans.

I know a guy in stoney creek Ontario......gary Greenland who has one repaired he wanted to sell. Probably going to take $800 too $1000 to buy it .

That's one somebody should tool up for. 34/35 Standard frame cover. Isn't used on the 35 coach or 4 dr. 33 Master rear fender would be another one & 33/35 Standard rear fenders although 33 Standard is different. Also 33/34 rear frame cover & there are 2 different depending on the model...Joe

total north American production figures for the 1934-35 standard series that use the "gas tank cover panel" ......early 34 sedan/coach, 34-35 3 window coupe, 34-35 roadsters, 34-35 phaetons. Total production of these cars would not warrant the costs involved in producing a production stamping die set.

If the tooling costs $200,000.00 to produce the dies, what does the part cost if your only making 1,000 of them. ????? And that's the stick in the honey.
