Hi everyone,
I'm new to this forum and already seeking information on my
"almost bought" 34 Sedan.
The seller does not verify whether its a 65hp or 80hp engine.
Therefore can someone decode the engine Code?
4634434
The cars VIN is DA-378-10

Many thanks in advance for your help from Germany!

Steve

1934 engine numbers ranged from 3964078 to 4708994 for US engines

They were 80 HP.
The raised number casting number on te right side of the engine is 837231.

So beside the Engine# this "837231" is always casted in the block and that's what marks it as a 80hp?!

This is the place to find out all about your '34 DA Town Sedan. First of all Welcome to the Chat. There is more to know about a '34 DA Town Sedan if you have never owned an old car.

Hi folks,

another 34 DA Town Sedan is about to survive.
I bought it yesterday - just couldn't resist and my wife likes him too ;-)
The proportions of this model are just about perfect :-)

Got it from a dealer near the border to the netherlands and he had it from the third(!) owner who had it since 1958 ...

Not a Town Sead but rather a coach.
Town Sedan has a built-in trunk and a shorter rear body section.
