Yesterday I was asked to help a friend go pick up his "new" car today. In the header I've included four photos of this adventure. To me, this is what the club is all about.... friends helping friends. The car is a 1930 Chev Roadster. It needs a little bit of body work. And if you look closely it appears to be the very rare, rear-engine model. (But, that was just our method for easily stacking and moving all of the parts.) Check back in one year and see how far my friend has progressed. I know that you'll be amazed!! --Bill B

Very Cool, and I agree, Friends Helping Friends !!
I know everyone on here has helped me with my Restoration. and hopefully others have learned from my experiences.
Also noticed it was a Rear Engine Rear Steer car as well & Front Drive !!

Yes I think that might be the rarest Chev known to mankind, though I dont think it is a production line vehicle. Tony

Ha ha... that solves that riddle for me. I wondered why they didn't sell too many of these.... poor cooling!!!! Here's one more view. ![[Linked Image from 1931chevrolet.com]](http://1931chevrolet.com/wow/2015/1930Roadster.jpg)

Looks like it would cool OK in reverse… mosquitos would then be a problem though…

Those sitting in the backseat could spend their time checking the timing and then make sure that the spark plug wires didn't come off the spark plugs.

I had hoped Chevrolet would have learned a lesson more, with enough cooling, since they made my 490 in 1916. The same old story again and again???? But the engine was stronger in 1930, and 4 brakes too.
