Hi. I have a 46 Stylemaster with what I believe is an original Fulton sun visor. Most of the Fulton sun visors I see on 40's chevys have rounded ends. However, mine are squared off. I hardly ever see that type of sun visor with squared off ends. Anyone have a clue

First Fulton did not make a visor in 1946 so your visor was installed a year or two after the car was delivered.
The rounded end visor was new for 1950.

In case anyone is interested, the Filling Station now sells complete Fulton type sun visors.

So if I understand correctly, squared off ends indicate an early type of Fulton Visor. Is that correct? Are they rare because I hardly ever see them. Lots of rounded ends though.
Thanks again guys.

You are correct. Also fewer were made as visors were just getting popular at that time.
Can you sed me a picture?

Sorry, JD, but I'm not interested but thanks for the information. Some probably don't know that. Agrin

I noticed yesterday that there were two Fultons on Ebay for sale. Both were in the $475-500 range. Realizing that there are many who like those outside visors, it still blows my mind that those things can demand such a price.

Here is the squared off version

[Linked Image from bigjims.net]

And the rounded version

I like the rounded version, cause I think it flows better witht he shape of the car.

I can see the rounded version but I cannot see the picture of the square tipped version. By the way, how do you go about posting pictures in these posts? Thanks again.

The squared off version is subtle...Just along the side edge...Hardly noticeable in the photo...I hadn't seen one before this...Thanks for sharing...

46Chevy has made a change in his Photobucket which has broken the links in his pictures. Moving an album, or moving pictures to a different album will do that.

Looks like you got the Fulton thing down...! I did get a couple off eBay for 'round 2 bills that did have some minor dings ( 800 series )...Thinking I'll turn them in...Prefer the stainless Peckat, Comet Sky-Sun Shield...No holes to drill...You did have a "truck load" of nice ones, I have to admit...

Marcellin,

iagree Except for one thing. Nonetheless, to each his own. I'm not downing your car. It looks dang good with or without. I like the color, too. wow

If it were mine, though, I would have a difficult time explaining how the outside visor enhances the beauty of the car.

Sometimes more is less.

Is that a Stylemaster Five Passenger coupe?

Best,
