What type of tool is used to expand the clips that hold the rubber around the inside edge of the door? The clip fits in a hole and then is somehow expanded to lock on to the door,,,,I remember from my body shop days a tool that was used to fasten the 58 Chevy quarter panel moulding clips…looked like a pair of pliers but worked reverse of pliers…squeeze the handle and the other end expanded which locked the clip to the panel…haven't seen that tool anywhere for years…suggestions? thx…Billu38

HI, just completed installing all my weather striping on my 38 master. I think the recommendation is to use a 1/8 punch. That is what I used seems to have worked well. I placed the clip in opening then light tape to seat clip into opening. Help can you tell me how to install the beaded run channel in my quarter windows. I'm unable to figure out how it fits (around into behind)etc. the piece which is held in place by screws at the read of the window. Thanks and good luck with your project. PS I think steele rubber will confirm the punch size.

I just used a small screw driver. Just do as previously described, place the clip in the hole then push the punch/screwdriver into the center of the clip until it locks in place.
