Has Anyone had experience with replacement hood springs. Bought a pair from Idas and they don't seem right, looks like there will be interference when the hood is installed. They seem awful tight, seems like there should be a little length between the hook & the spring proper.

Do they seem short or are they disfigured.You realy need to stretch them to get them on,3-4 inches,chef- chevy

Chef they are not short, there seems to be interfence where they attach to the hinges without the hood on.

Tom48chevy,take a look at your shop manual,it shows a real good pic. of the hood spring and how it attatches to the front clip.I used a comealong to stretch and attatch the spring,not an easy task,chef- chevy
