I didn't think it was a Fleetline. I guess I will look closer in the next episode assuming they will show the car again even thought the back bumper is now missing. Other than the cars I was disappointed in the show.

I think that was the first and last we will see of the 47 :(, It had the waterfall trim below tailights and I think brite trim around windows. It was kinda cool seeing a 47 Chevy in a TV show.:)makes me want to buy a four door LOL

I watched the second episode of Agent Carter tonight. They showed the license plate that came off the car and it was from 1946.

Also, in the dialog, they referred to it as a Fleetline.

Lots of cool, period vehicles in that show.

I did not see any strips on the side in the first episode. I believe it was not a Fleetline but a Fleetmaster, as they had the trim below the tail lights and had bright window revel moldings also. One of the interior shots had the rear qtr window in the background and was the shape in the std roof line vs the special Fleetline Sportmaster style.

The show is suppose to be taking place in 1946, but I don't know what month.

My '47 does have an I.D. # that shows did come out of the Oakland CA. Plant in Feb. of '47...Have been trying to get DMV to match up the reg. w/the date of birth...They have it down as Aug. '47...Guess that's when the dealer sold it from Val Strough Chevrolet, in Oakland...The V.S sticker is still on the inner glove box lid...

Chevrolets were in high demand in 1947 and I doubt if it would have been iin dealer inventory for more than two weeks.

GENE:
AFTER POSTING MY REMARK ON 47S COMING OUT IN LATE 46 I WONDERED IF THAT WAS CORRECT. FIGURED YOU WOULD SET ME STRAIGHT IF NOT. THANKS
THE CARS ARE NICE TO SEE IN THE SHOW EVEN IF THERE IS SOME LIBERTIES TAKEN WITH THE TIME LINE. I DOUBT MANY OF THE CARS IN 46//47 HAD WHITE WALLS. I SUPPOSE THE OWNERS OF THE CARS BEING USED IN THE SHOW OBJECTED TO PAINTING THEIR WHITES BLACK.
