Hello

I finally get to start on my 37 Chevy ½, I got this truck in a box basically, never seen it together, never done a project like this before! The cab is a 37 for sure, the front metal shell, hood and side panels are from 38. And it’s in great shape very little to do for paint. But I wont to take it back to a 37 and I haven’t been able to find the steel 37 shell! And I really didn’t want to go fiberglass. Then the other thing someone did is put a Mustang II front clip on, but they messed up and the wheelbase is 3.5” short now? And they must have cut the front part of the frame passed the Mustang clip they added and raised it so the radiator shell doesn’t line up correct, it’s to high?? I have had a hard time finding out the frame specs. I can tell by photo’s is has a drop in the front, then the bumper brackets go back up a little but no info on how much?

If someone could help me with some information that would be great!
1. Does anyone know what the measurement from a side view of a 37 frame is, or where I can find out? I need the elevations to fix this mess with.
2. Does anyone know where I can locate a steel front shell? Or steel anything?
Thanks Project child

Sounds like a butcher got to it. Might be easier to find a different frame and do things right.

You might watch on ebay as I do see some 37 truck grille shells on there but they do not go cheap, post some pics so we can see what you got. My neighbor just brought home a 37 coupe with 38 front sheetmetal.

If you were here in Aus I would swap you front metal. My 38 has 37 front panels I would like to correct before I get It all painted up.
