I am UK based with a collection of various vintage cars but sold my 70 Vette over 10 years ago. I am planning to drive Route 66 with a group of friends from various countries and would love to do so in a classic Chevy. I remember the early 60s Chevy Impala as a young boy growing up in South Africa. We are not doing the trip until 2017 so I have time!! Anyone know where I should start in order to achieve my dream of doing this drive in a suitable car???

I would start by joining the VCCA. Four major reasons: 1. The VCCA has members all along Route 66 who have aided travelers on the route numerous times. 2. The VCCA magazine "Generator & Distributor" has ads from members on cars for sale. 3. Requests put into the G&D to help with adventures or projects often receive more offers that can practically be used. 4. In the event of a breakdown, parts, facilities and recommendations are readily available.

I am sure that you will enjoy the trip and the VCCA if you decide to join.
