Any comments on the quality of the running board mats from Connecticut that are being sold on eBay?

They look good but have not seen any close up. Don't know of anyone that has installed a set. Would hope that they use a UV resistant rubber, probably EPDM?

I clicked on the sellers info and it shows he sold one set for 1929-30 on dec 11 for $415 and that was all for the previous year of 2014 on ebay. The address at that time was Eaton, N.Y. which is the area that I had seen about 5 years ago info about mats being sold from. He could have moved to Andover. Conn. I had heard the mats were nice but never seen them up close.

I think I know who that guy is. I'm waiting for a return e-mail. He might be the one building my 1933 Standard mats. If it's the same guy, he supplies to the filling station..Joe

It's the same guy I was thinking about except I was mistaken as to being the same ones that filling station sell. Sorry about that. They are a good quality with UV protectant. He's had his own product on his car for 10 years now with no problems. I'm personally waiting on a digital scan to contract him to do 1933 Standard mats for a couple of cars. He was in NY & has since moved to CT. I'm pretty sure you will more than happy with his product. It's my understanding that Pinky Randall & Jim Morningstar have been over the years. This guy is not new at this business...Joe
