What is the proper floor covering material (carpet, rubber matting, etc.) for a 1927 Coach?

I think original is a rubber mat cut to fit. This is what I have in my sedan. My touring car has painted wood which works fine also. Installing rubber floor mat in the touring car is on my list of things to do.

I have a 1927 Chevy Capital AA 4 Door also a 1927 Chevy Touring car, a 1936 Chevy 1/2 ton and a 2010 Corvette LT3 Convertible and a 1953 Packard Caribbean. My tow car is a 2011 Suburban.

You can purchase a rubber floor mat with Chevrolet bowties. It is not correct for 1927 but looks better.

For what it's worth; my '25 sedan has a rubber front floor mat and carpet in the rear that is the same shade as the interior upholstery.
