Bill, see the post outage above in general.
I am able to get here from work. I was off all last week and beginning Tuesday 23rd I could not get here from home. I just thought the site was down.
Now, yesterday after I got home I tried to get here again. Still no go. I called ATT and they checked my end and found nothing wrong. I have no problem anywhere else.
I then did a trace route and it looks to me it is something to do with the site. I am not allowed to send email or pictures from work. I took a picture of the trace screen and sent it to Ken last night.
Bill, please check on this when you get a chance. Reply to my email in my profile.
Thanks

I just did a trace route from here at work. Compared it to the one from home last night. It looks like from home I am getting to the host site (myhostcenter.com) the same as from here at work. The next to last line in the trace from work is the last line from home. That is where it seems to time out????

I've been working with a couple of Chat guys for the past week -- one in Australia and one in Michigan.
They have not been able to log in -- or even SEE the Chat site for about a week now.
I suspect that their network vendors are blocking the path, or the vcca.org NAME is not listed in their local DNS (Domain Name Server). These "outages" are NOT being caused by our HOST company. Too many of us have had full connections the whole time.
I really think that this is collateral damage due to the SONY and Playstation attacks. As a defense, many network administrators have shifted traffic and changed DNS services.
A "ping" is the best way to tell whether your computer is making a connection to the VCCA.org server. If it times out, then you need to analyze the results to see "how far" it made it to the datacenter (in OHIO) before it got blocked.

Remind me, how to do the ping. I have forgotten. You know, old age.
I too have not seen chat for one week from home.

Try this:
Click on lower left "Microsoft button" on your computer screen. Click on "RUN" Enter "command", then press "okay" Enter "ping vcca.org", then press "Return"
You should be FOUR results in milliseconds (ms).

I could not get on one morning but when I got home from work I could get on,this has happened a few times but does not last too long. I thought this time I might have gotten banned.
