Haven't posted for a while, been working on my Speedster. Got the engine out, not an easy thing to do, that cross member between the oil pan and the flywheel housing is a buger to get over. Got the engine apart, going to do valves and hone and ring it, everything else looks pretty good. Major problem; the front cross member where the front engine mount bolts to has been so butchered up that it went down about 3 inches so the engine tilts forward instead of to the back. Does anyone have a front cross member for a 28 that they would like to get rid of? I either have to get one some how or fab one up myself; it would sure be nice if someone had one. Thanks ahead for all your replies and help and I'll try to keep you posted on my progress.

I did post in the classifieds and it helped thank you.
Does anyone know if there is a difference between the 27 frame and the 28 frame? I am trying to replace the front cross member and I'm not sure what I am working with. Also is a truck frame of the same years different? Thanks for your help.

The '28 passenger and 1/2 ton frames are different from the '27 and truck. Prime reason is the extended wheelbase and need for a shroud to fill the extra space.
