Greetings to all:

Steele Rubber does not carry/list a windshield gasket for the 37 Fisher bodied Chevy cabriolet.

One of my parts books indicated the glass for a cabriolet is the same length and width as a closed body Chevy. The windshield is 2 pieces of glass with a division bar. Will a windshield weatherstrip for a closed body car work on a 37 convertible?

Any chance a windshield gasket from other Fisher bodied GM brands from around 1937 will work for a 37 Chevy?

Unfortunately, my mentor, Ardie Overby, is no longer with us to quickly answer my question. I hope one of you can assist in his absence.

Thanks in advance!

The difference is in the corners. The upper corners are more squared off than the sedans.
Perhaps the rubber is flexable enough to used the sedan gasket.

The 1937-1938 Fisher "A" bodies were used on Chevrolet only.

How do I know this? In about 1982 went to a Central Meet in Iowa. There were two 1938 Cabs. parked side by side. We, a friend and I, noticed one had square corners on top, the other more rounded. The rounded job belonged to Harry Thompson , the guy that made the 1939 convertible. When we "confronted" him he admitted he made the 1938 convertible also.
