For better coverage you might also want to post your ad in the "Parts Wanted" forum as well.

Good luck with your search!

Ken , the hood listed on ebay is a model T ford item , not a chevy 490 hood.

The picture of the one Ken is showing is not of a 1916.

Here is my 1916: http://s889.photobucket.com/user/so...eiltur-solan013.jpg.html?sort=3&o=10

and: http://s889.photobucket.com/user/so...eiltur-solan011.jpg.html?sort=3&o=12

The two side panels of the hood to 1916 are hinged together, not separate to a top piece, as to my opinion.

About the only thing on the car pictured that is Four-ninety is the radiator shell and headlights. The rest could be anything. Chassis is definitely not 490 chev.

Ken , yes I appreciate that you are helping a new member here.
Over the years I have only seen about 2 hoods for sale for a 490. and they were only the sides and very rusty. The hoods will fit 1916 to 1922.

I was thinking it might be a hard find. I see some incomplete 490s for 1500 or so that might be the way to go
will keep on looking.

Ken , the vehicle pictured above , when I opened up the link , shows the radiator shell with curved sides, which the 490 doesn't have. So looks to be an FB model chev. If the chassis belongs to the radiator ???.Might be a good find for someone with an F series.

I wasn't referring to the red car which was your latest post, I was referring to the rusty thing you previously posted.
The red one is definitely a 490.
The rusty one might be rarer than the 490's are.!! Possibly a FB model chev.

You still have MANY Many strikes left.!!
