We have had many discussions on this topic in the past. At any rate, the spark plugs that you will want to use are either AC-C86 or AC-C87. Gap the plugs to .040" and set your timing at 18 degrees. For more information you can do a search here on Chevy Chatter for other discussions about the timing and spark plugs. Good luck!

I have run Autolite 386 plugs. Never a problem with them. Also Champion D-16 and a bunch of other manufacturers have 18 mm medium heat plugs.

AC-C87, get them from most any AutoParts Store. Gap the plugs to .040" and set your timing at 18 degrees. Adjust & set Idle on Carb and ride rider ride
