Going to display the '31 Phaeton at AutoRama in Houston over Thanksgiving weekend. The San Jacinto Region puts in 6 vehicles. This year '27 1-ton truck, '31 Phaeton, '51 Bel-Air, '52 Sedan, '59 Apache and newer Corvette (don't remember the year). It is our prime new member recruiting effort in a Hot Rod show. We have picked up several new VCCA members each year from the mainly hot rod crowd. Has small swap meet and medium sized auction. All inside the GRB convention center in downtown Houston.
How Sweet the roar of a Chevy four!

I will be in the HAMB parking area on the east side of the lake,I will not be in my 37 but in my 55 Ford convertible. I would love to take the 37 down there but with the small cab size you could not pay me enough to drive it that distance and I do not own a trailer.

Since I am coming down by myself I will be spending most of the time in the swapmeet, its going to be great not having to entertain anyone on this trip so I do not have to do the tourist stuff.

I did see a couple of covairs but did pay attention to prices. There were 4920 registered show cars and 6,000 + in the car corral. The rain really messed up things for the first 2 days, the cold also did not help, but the wind wind did dry up things finally.
Did note some vendors missing this year.. guess it goes with the times and the economy.
Prices seemed way high in the CC..but did note many cars and trucks changing hands.
GRITS RULE!!!!
