How come when I search for a certain topic it only takes me back to July 2014? Even when I specify "older than 2 months"? Instructions say it can go back a max of 20 years…confused…Billu38

Just tried the search feature and it worked fine for me. On my specific search it took me back to 2011. Maybe the topic that you are looking for only goes back to July of 2014. What topic are you looking for?

BUT, if I'm looking for something through VCCA, I do something like this on GOOGLE....... "1939 chevy window regulator VCCA". Entering info, as shown, into my google search, seems to work for me. Sometimes I juggle the key words to get more hits, but always end search words with "VCCA".

Hi Billu38,
The index of past posts takes awhile to learn its quirks. First you need to read the Advance Search tips. This will tell you about using the plus symbol (+) before your search terms. I did a search using the Keyword Search Terms and the plus symbol +window +regulator, and it gave me 3 pages of posts (or 200 posts) going back to 2011. If I wanted to go back farther I just changed my Date Range Field to Older Than 2 years. This took me back to 2006.
Next I decided to further limit my search by using 1939 as an additional Keyword Search Term so I was searching +window +regulator +1939. This brought up three old posts one of which was yours from 2012.
Another search I did was using the Keywords Search Terms +window +regulator and then I put Mike Buller in the Display Name Search field. This gave me 24 posts going back to 2009 that he had contributed.
If you are still not totally confused try limiting your search by Forums To Search. All our Forums are listed on the left side of the search page. So search +window +regulators and choose the forum 37-42. I got 44 posts using this technique.
If you still need more help call me (989-832-7634)we can run through the steps while you and I are sitting at our computers.
Good luck, Mike
