Hi There Grease Monkey 123 again with another question from the experts.
I called the filling station about a electric wiper motor to replace the vacuum motor in there . they told me if I had a factory radio in there one would not fit.
I called new port and they said they never had this problem like that or nobody complained .
Before I buy one from newport I would like to know if any of you guys know if one would fit or if there would be a problem or if some modification would be needed.? It would be going into a 51 chevy 2 door sedan
any info appreciated Thanks

I have not made this conversion, but would use Newport. They appear to have a good following, with their wiper motors.

I now recall a friend who installed a Newport in his '51, but do not recall if there was a radio involved. Sent him a email, will post an answer if he replies.

Reply received from my '51 friend.

His '51 does have a P.B. radio.

No installation concerns, with having radio, and using Newport wiper kit, but he did remove glove box for additional clearance, during install.

P.B. radio = push button radio.

Other radio offered was a manual tuning radio, with no push buttons. Same basic radio, either way.

You're good to go, if you choose the Newport wiper kit.
