hello , grease monkey 123 here
If i put a electric fuel pump before the reg one do I have to use a regulator ?
For windshield wipers would a vacuum fuel pump be as good as a electric wipers?
The reason I ask the above question is ---I was told electricwipers would not fit in my 51 chevy if it was equipped with factory am radio. Is this a fact?
Any info would be appreciated Thanks

You don't say why you are considering electric fuel pump. Specific problem ?

Mounting electric pump NEAR fuel tank is a must, it can be used in conjunction with mechanical pump. Many use this combo with toggle switch for electric pump, to get carb(s) bowls filled at start up, then shut electric pump off with toggle switch. Mechanical pump then takes over. No regulator needed.

No, fuel pump with vacuum assist is not as good as electric wipers.

Newport supplies many with electric wipers.
Click her and look at their list of applications. No mention of radio interference with electric wiper motor.

The fuel pump would be used as stated to fill bowl in the carburetor
I will have to check out the windshield wiper motor as you suggested
Thanks for the info
